Delete your Buddy account
Buddy is provided by Cognify Technology, Brent Peeters, Kleitstraat 19, 9930 Lievegem, Belgium.
Enter your email address and we’ll send you a 6-digit code. Use it to delete your account: 30 days later, everything Buddy stores about you is permanently erased. Changed your mind within those 30 days? Simply sign in again in the app to keep your account.
Nothing is deleted without the code from your email.
Delete in the app
Open Buddy, go to your account settings and choose Delete account. That’s the quickest way.
Want a copy of your data first? You can request one in your account settings in the app, or at buddy-assistant.com/export-data.
Delete without the app
Email info@buddy-assistent.com with the subject Delete account. Include the email address you registered with. We’ll send a confirmation email to that address. Once you confirm, deletion begins.
What gets deleted
Your account and profile, your settings and preferences, all your conversations and messages, and all your active sessions.
When
Your account immediately becomes unavailable and you’re signed out everywhere. You then have 30 days to cancel deletion if you change your mind or someone else made the request. After those 30 days, your data is permanently deleted. It disappears from our encrypted backups no later than 35 days after that.
What we must keep
If you’ve used a paid feature, we must keep billing records for 7 years as required by law. During an abuse investigation or legal proceedings, we keep only what is strictly necessary. We also keep your previous support requests for 3 years so we can show that we handled them correctly.
If you have a subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play, wherever you subscribed.
